Adani Airports is looking to purchase new airports through government bids
Arun Bansal, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adani Airport Holdings, said in an interview with ANI on Wednesday that the company is highly eager about acquiring additional airports through government bidding. This is the policy agenda, but we are eager to purchase new airports, according to the CEO of Adani Airports. Seven airports are currently under the management of the Adani airport holding company.
After Assocham revealed that Lucknow and Ahmedabad airports had won the best regional airport honours, Bansal talked exclusively to ANI.
The policy agenda is as follows. When the government agrees to proceed, this needs to be included in the next round of bidding, and we naturally want to try to make new acquisitions
“We are honoured to earn these accolades and have Lucknow and Ahmedabad’s regional airports named among the best in the nation,”he told ANI

Seven airports are currently under the management of the Adani airport holding company.
He did, however, express his confidence in the expansion of the Indian aviation sector, predicting that 900 million passengers would be using Indian airports within the next five to 10 years.
“If you look closely, you will notice that India’s aviation industry has experienced phenomenal growth. If you compare India to the rest of the world in terms of passenger growth, India still has a relatively small population share.”
“Before the Covid pandemic, around 300 million people travelled out of airports in India. In the ensuing five to 10 years, this number will increase three times. Therefore, India’s aviation industry has huge growth potential, “Bansal added.
In order to accommodate the increase in travellers, he said, “Airport is playing a vital role in ensuring that the consumer can use the facility of the airport.”
When questioned about the issue of airport congestion that causes stress to the passengers during their flight trip, Bansal responded, “Congestion is something we manage extremely effectively. Of course, the demand led to a considerable increase in passengers at the airports after Covid. We haven’t had any traffic problems at the airports we’ve scheduled before COVID. At our airports, we have investor digitization, which enables us to regulate the passenger flow. We successfully managed the traffic congestion, which resulted in a smooth flow.”
