India’s budget is being watched by the entire world with hope, says PM Modi
The budget for this year, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would not only seek to meet the expectations and aspirations of the average Indian but also serve as a beacon of hope for the rest of the globe.
On the eve of the presentation of the Union Budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted the uncertain economic future for the world and declared that India’s budget will make an effort to meet the expectations and aspirations of ordinary folks, adding that the entire world was watching it with hope.
Tuesday’s parliamentary session began with President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the combined Houses of Parliament, and Mr. Modi gave his traditional opening comments.
Amid the unstable global economic situation, India's Budget will not only attempt to meet the hopes and aspirations of the common citizens, but the ray of hope being seen by the world will also glow brighter.I firmly believe that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will make all efforts to meet those aspirations.
Citing “reliable voices” from “the realm of economy,” he said that they had presented optimistic ideas to the gathering in advance. He may have been alluding to Gita Gopinath, the deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, who tweeted on Tuesday morning that India would continue to have the fastest-growing big economy in the world in 2023 and 2024.
The budget session will be held over the course of 27 sittings, ending on April 6, with a month-long break to review the budget documents. On February 13, the session’s first segment will come to an end. The second round of the budget session will begin in parliament on March 12 and end on April 6.
Women in Power
He added that President Murmu’s inaugural speech to a joint session of both Houses of Parliament was a source of pride for the Indian Constitution and for the empowerment of women that a member of India’s tribal population was assuming the helm.
He said that Ms. Sitharaman will be presenting the Budget again on Wednesday, which was another blow to women’s emancipation. We have a female finance minister as well. Tomorrow, she will give the nation one more budget to review. The world, not just India, is looking at India’s budget in the current global environment, Mr. Modi said.
