Rahul Gandhi claims there is no plan for building India’s future in the “Mitr Kaal Budget”
Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, criticized the government’s budget presentation on Wednesday, calling it a “Mitr Kaal” budget that did little to address unemployment, inflation, or inequality.
Rahul Gandhi asserted that the Narendra Modi administration lacks a plan for the future of India as seen by the Budget 2023–24.
He continued to criticize the government, claiming that the money controlled by the top 1% of the richest Indians accounted for more than 40% of the nation’s overall wealth while the bottom 50% of Indians were responsible for 64% of the GST collected.
“The ‘Mitr Kaal’ Budget lacks the plan to address mehngai, a vision to create jobs, and an intention to reduce inequality. The PM doesn’t care that the 1% wealthiest people hold 40% of the world’s wealth, the 50% poorest people pay 64% of the GST, and 42% of young people are unemployed. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “This Budget shows the administration has no plan to develop India’s future.
In reaction to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman declaring that this was the first Budget in “Amrit Kaal,” Rahul Gandhi made fun of “Mitr Kaal.”
In her Budget Speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “This is the first budget in Amrit Kaal. This budget hopes to build on the foundation laid in the previous budget and the blueprint laid for India@100. We envision a prosperous and inclusive India in which the fruits of development reach all.”
The Union Budget for 2023–24, according to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, is “heavy on pronouncements and short on delivery.”
He claimed that the Narendra Modi administration “looted” the nation by raising the cost of milk, cooking gas, and grains. The budget, according to Mallikarjun Kharge, is evidence that people are “continually losing faith in the BJP.”
“In general, the Modi administration has made life challenging for the populace. The economy of the nation has suffered greatly. Nothing but plundering the nation’s wealth has been done by the Modi administration.
After the introduction of the Union Budget, Kharge declared, “This budget would be nicknamed the ‘Naam Bade Aur Darshan Chhote Budget‘ (big on announcements and short on delivery).
